His Excellency Prime Minister launches the Training Track for the employees of Ministry of Municipalities in the Royal Jordanian Geographic Centre

His Excellency Prime Minister launched the Training Track for Employees of the Ministry of Municipalities in the Royal Jordanian Geographic Centre in the presence of His Excellency Minister of Municipal Affairs Mr. Nader Dhairat, President of AlBalqa Applied University Dr. Omar Al Rimawi and General Director of Royal Jordanian Geographic Centre Major General Eng. Saleim Khalifeh. His Excellency Prime Minister said that this national effort presented in launching the habilitation project of employees in Municipalities in Amman Governorate in addition to other Governorates provided with unique specialties required by these municipalities will be a strong steam of the government efforts in development and progress.

Major General Eng. Saleim Khalifeh - General Director of RJGC- demonstrated that the Centre has created a new section for academic training and technical scientific experience provided with all software and equipments required for meeting local and outside training needs in Jordan and other Arab countries.

The most important courses that will be held for the employees of municipalities are the following:-

1- Geographical Information Systems (GIS).

2- Global Positioning System (GPS).

3- Advanced Survey Course.

In addition to Basic Survey Course which will be held by Royal Jordanian Geographic Centre’s College.

After that his Excellency the Prime Minister and guests made a tour included some of productive and technical sections in the centre such as cartography, training and Research section, teaching halls, training labs, digital mapping and borders office.

At the end of the visit his Excellency the Prime Minister expressed his admiration with the advanced level reached by the RJGC as well as the cooperation and services offered by the Centre for concerned authorities in both public and private sectors in addition to its participation in serving development aims.
